I think it might be due to Queen Anna's sister. It has been snowing a lot more recently.

[They've already had a couple of incidents where there were blizzards.]

So? I still eat other things! There's plenty of healthy stuff I put on sandwiches.

[He looks at the sky with a huff.]

The cold doesn't bother me... But you're probably right. It's getting pretty bad. Not like we can do anything about it but hope her Majesty gets better.

[Ventus tilts his head but nods.]

At this point, it's a waiting game. But flowers should help brighten her day a little?

Vegetables, like cucumbers and lettuce. And meat!

[Waiting games are the worst.]

Sunflowers are her favorite, but it's not the right time of year. [Think...] I bet I can find some crocus!

Closer to the border of the woods by the beach. It tends to thaw there earlier than anywhere else, so can find some in that area.

It's close to the place I like to hide from-[Guards. But not going to say that.]-people who don't want me reading a lot. It's quiet there.

[Especially if tree climbing was involved.]

[While Roxas goes to his favorite section--desserts, most likely--he goes to the more savory section.]

[At least he won't pick out too much! Just a few things that won't melt in his pocket as he pops a chocolate truffle into his mouth.]

I got some of these meat buns.

[Or hot dogs rolled in a croissant.

[He shakes his head.]

[Ventus goes to pay for their treats before making his way back to Roxas.]

[Roxas stares at Ventus and walks outside. Once out, he hands Ven his part of what was paid. Just because he can.]

No running. We don't want to slip.

[And off he goes before the other can complain.]

[....Can't you just let him pay for you once in a while?

Ventus huffs and then follows after Roxas hurriedly.]

[missingache]

[Nope. Save your money for a girlfriend or something. Roxas has too much pride to have someone else pay for his things.]

I wish spring would get here already. The snow is really deep this year.

[Even if he's not having any troubles walking through it, his feet leaving puddles where they've stepped.]

[They're friends, Roxas. Rude.

Ventus raises a brow, looking pointedly at the puddles that seems to have formed beneath Roxas.]

I don't think you're really having any trouble with the snow though.

[To be fair, Ventus doesn't seem to be having trouble either. Rather, it's almost as if he's gliding on the snow, the wind around them almost seeming playful.]

Huh?

[Roxas stops to look at Ventus before his eyes are drawn down. There's puddles... He moves his feet and finds more as he sinks into his new steps. But his feet don't feel wet.

But Ven isn't sinking the same?]

Why is the snow melting? [He puts a hand to his forehead, yet doesn't feel anything out of place.] Do I have a fever?

[That would be weird if that was the cause, but he can't think of anything else that would make this happen. And what's with the wind?]

I don't think you do.

[But Ventus doesn't seem to notice how he isn't stepping into the snow either.

He blinks at the wind, looking around curiously.]

This is kind of weird.

[missingache]

[Roxas crouches down and looks at Ventus' feet.]

....... how are you doing that?

[Invisible snowshoes?]

[brokenlight]

Doing what?

[He looks at him curiously.]

[missingache]

Floating. Above the snow.

[He reaches out to pat the snow under Ven's feet.]

Weird...

[brokenlight]

Wha--

[Ventus looks down.

Has he...really not been stepping on the snow?]

That's weird--

[And just like that, the wind around them gets stronger and playfully tosses Ven up in the air, causing him to flail.]
