the trains are the safest way between them, or you may choose to brave the highways that connect these places, though they are filled with all sorts of nasty creatures.

will you fight or flee?

maybe if you're lucky, you'll meet the savior herself.

[ She hadn't expected to find herself here. Actually, any place other than Zaofu, the air temples, or Republic City is unexpected. And a major problem. There are things to do, important things, and her being here isn't accomplishing any of them. Still... it's not the most terrible place to end up, and it's actually pretty nice as she tries to figure out how the heck to get out. The huge birds are an added bonus, and there's one currently snuggling up against her. ]

Hey-- hey, alright, alright, I'll find you some food. Is that what you want, big guy?

[The last thing she remember was not this place. Asami had looked around for a while, trying to figure out if she was in the Earth Kingdom, or if she had somehow wound up in the Spirit Realm. There was strange creatures about, though they didn't look anything like the ones she's seen. They weren't that friendly, either.

Asami had been running for a while now as those men and women on giant yellow birds has suggested she did. The person she saw ahead of her makes her gasp and slow down.]

K-Korra!

[ It's one thing to be trapped in a completely unknown place all alone, but having someone familiar and friendly around? When Korra hears that voice, she whirls around, face lighting up as she waves her friend over. Next to her, the giant bird gives a soft kwee of curiosity. ]

Hey, Asami! You're here, too! That's great--now we can definitely find a way out.

[She stops in front of Korra, out of breath. She's has been running for much longer than she thought she would.]

D-Don't.... k-k-know where we are...

Hey, are you okay?

[ Korra sets a hand on her back, an arm around her to support her. Wow--Asami's pretty out of breath, and there doesn't seem to be any food or water around... ]

Did you... run this whole way?

[Asami takes some deep breaths before nodding.]

Yeah... I've been running from creatures that are definitely not spirits. Didn't have anything to defend myself with.

[She looks around at the more peaceful part of this place.]

I guess you got lucky winding up so close to the train station.

Yeah, there are some crazy critters running around here. Luckily, this place is more settled, so I think they stay away from here.

[ Korra dusts her friends off, taking a look around. ]

No kidding. It's just finding something to eat and drink that'll be the tricky part. But hey-- [ She jerks her thumb toward the bird. ] --this guy seems really friendly. Like Naga, but a bird.

[Asami appreciates the gesture, looking at the large bird.]

There was some people who call themselves hunters here that were riding around on those. I could have sworn I saw someone riding a white one towards a valley. She didn't look like any of the others.

[Her stomach growls, bringing a soft blush to her cheeks.]

But the food thing sounds good, too!

Yeah, I think I saw her too. I've never seen hair like that. [ She grins, though, and thumps Asami lightly on the back. ]

Let's get something to eat before we go exploring.

I didn't even know you could make your hair pink. Do you think it might be natural in this place? [She admires that about Korra. So much enthusiasm.]

Alright. Where should we go first?

Probably.

[ A shrug as she hops onto that bird's back and offers a hand. ]

Let's see where this guy takes us.

[As big as it looks, she's not sure if she wants t get on its back.]

You sure it can hold our weight?

Yeah. [ The bird paws at the ground, watching Asami. ] I think if you don't get up yourself, he'll just toss you onto his back.

[She lets out a soft squeak, taking Korra's hand.] I don't want to find out.

[ And Korra pulls her right up, helping Asami settle in behind her. ]

Hold on tight to me. I don't know how fast this guy can go.

[Asami knew Korra was strong, but it could still be a surprise at how easily she could just lift someone. This also wasn't like riding Naga. She wraps her around Korra's waist to hold on.]

Let's get going then.

[ Korra's heart gives a little leap, but she holds onto the bird's neck and gently taps her feet against its side. At first, the chocobo moves at a steady pace, but then it takes off at a run... and it's fast. ]

Whoa! [ She turns to Asami and laughs. ] Kind of like Naga, huh?

[Since Asami was used to Naga doing this, Asami's only response was to hang on even more.]

Y-Yeah! B-But can you slow it down, please? This things only got two legs!

Alright, alright! [ She pats the bird's neck. ] Slow down, okay? We're not used to top speeds!

[ And the bird slows down to a trot (though it gives a little harrumph of frustration). ]

[She lets out a soft noise of relief.]

Sorry, bird. But you're not as big as Naga is. It's a lot easier to fall off.

[And she's not the most graceful lander.]

Even if you would've fallen off, I'd have caught you.

[ It's an honest admission, one punctuated by a smile. ]

I know. Wait... do your bending powers work in this place?

[It'd be rough if they didn't.]

Yeah. Tried it out first thing when I got here.

Good... It'd be bad to be defenseless. Those hunters kept me from being taken down.

No problem, Asami. [ A grin as she leads the bird to a village area. ] Hey, looks like we found people!
