Really? Color me impressed! :3 By the way, what is your book about?

(Any speculation about Xemnas' jealousy is aggravated to the utmost by their friends' meddling, however wise and just.

There can be no doubt that the Superior will imagine wrong where it never exists. He may have the tendency to be unjust to Roxas' friends, estrange and resent every one of them.

Most of the feelings he identifies are linked to jealousy and despondency about Roxas leaving. So he stays seated and never takes his eyes off him, admittedly drawn by his own curiosity of the knowledge Roxas has of emotions. A heart makes him feel like a finite being; there's only so much that he's able to understand and ascertain with memories alone. They've enabled him to correctly respond to the situation in which he finds himself, save for this one, and that's as far as it gets. His reach is limited. It helps that Roxas isn't condescending or pitying.

Rather, it's closer to compassionate assertiveness. It's hard not to peek at the progress of his flush, and he does it twice, but his eyes flicker back up to his.)

Yes, my Key, I believe that is quite accurate a description. (That's the simplest possible answer, delivered with a slight pat on Roxas' shoulder, a paper-thin smile curving his lips. He doesn't seem distressed, and really, he usually isn't; the only hints of distress come when he thinks Roxas has fallen prey to the darkness.) Excessive anxiety leads to a combination of physical and psychological symptoms. Isn't it always, when two hearts part their separate ways?

(His eyes arrest on his mouth, and it takes a moment to register the tighter twitching of his fingers around his cheek. The Superior tries to appear placid, except that the skate of his fingers up Roxas' neck tells another story. For all of his vocabulary, Xemnas has never been able to express that longing. Before long Xemnas tilts his head towards his muscled chest, ever so softly. And his fingers are smoothing down his spine, now. Urgent and inquisitive. But he doesn't know how to voice it, so he keeps his silence, instead cackling at the cute dog-like creature that plops down on Roxas' lap without so much as a bark. The front of its maw sports the Nobody Emblem, which means it's only relying on its other senses and fleeting memories.)

Through the anxiety and loneliness that longing entails, I've gained entry into the depths of my own heart.
