Fairy Tales

Fairy Tales Meme
You find yourself stuck in a world made up of fairy tales. Or maybe you've always been here, and are just acting out the story you've been assigned to since your creation. Just know you're not alone in all of this. Someone will be here with you along the way. A stranger, someone familiar, or the most unlikely person you know. All bets are off in a world where stories like Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel are real.
Note: Request anyone you would like. Bring your friend here. Do whatever! If you could, please cw threads accordingly if you feel there might be a sensitive topic to be used in your writing!
Otherwise HAVE FUN!

Which is all for the better, he thinks. As he runs through the grounds and into the nearby forests surrounding it, it's's better that he's alone. All the instincts that come with this strange chimeric body that gets less and less human each day almost seems... inviting. It's almost tempting to just lose himself in the beast.
He's been cursed for far too long. He isn't a fledgling lord anymore. Hasn't been for a very long time.
Luckily for him very few people seem to venture out of the village and towards his abode. Honestly, the curse has progressed so far that Riku isn't even sure he'd know what to do if he stumbled upon a normal human.]

At this point it was time to turn back and head back home.
Roxas stops and looks around with a frown.]
.... where did I come from?

Riku is still oblivious to the news of there being someone in his woods. Sure this stronger nose can smell Roxas's scent, but so many people pass through the woods without trouble, and it's hardly as if he can just him for help like a normal person.
So for now, he's not worried.
But what does catch his attention is a small gathering of wolves, who do seem to take notice of the young human. Riku cab spot them from above on his hill, a perfect vantage point. Normally other animals don't bother him nearly as much, but weaponless humans are a different story for them.
They make a move, heading towards Roxas, and Riku follows suit, keeping himself in the shadows as he does.]

let me make this cute as heckie
One day their mother sent them on their way to their grandmother, who they hadn't seen in a while. Their mother packed them a basket and sent them on their way, telling them not to dawdle. Which probably was going to happen no matter what happens...]
... Sora, are we lost?
THE MOST CUTE
[Sora looked up from where he was gathering flowers, his arms full to the brim with the wildflowers that grew in the forest. Grandmothers liked flowers, right? That had been his train of thought, anyway, when they had stopped by the trail to pick them.
...Where was the trail, anyway? They must've wandered away from it.]
...Maybe? Do you remember which way we came from?
no subject
Roxas sighs in irritation, looking around.]
No... I was trying to keep an eye out for wolves and stuff. You kept going further and further into the woods!
[Meaning that in the long run he was trying to keep an eye on Sora and lost track of their location.]
no subject
[Sora grins awkwardly, trying to convey silently his apologies. Not only had he gotten himself lost, but his brother as well. They'd probably be late, now.
He adjusts the flowers in his arms and looks around.]
What should we do? Pick a direction?
no subject
Roxas looks up at the sky, not a fan of the fact that the cover was blocking out most of the sky.]
It's not like we can use the light... sure. Let's pick a direction.

Which is why Roxas' visits are so important to her. He brings her smiles and laughter and conversation. There is the constant fear that her father will catch him and drive him away, but when Roxas visits, she forgets that she should be afraid at all. He brings the outside world to her, fills her full of wonder for it. Naminé is always waiting for him at the window on the days he visits, to greet him and ask what kind of story he'll tell her today.
Except today, she's not at the window. Instead, her little bird friend Sora is perched on the sill standing guard, and upon noticing Roxas, he chirps into the tower room.]
Ah!
[And now she appears, looking distraught.]
You're early...!
no subject
Today he had indeed arrived early. He had some news, and a gift, to share with her. So with a smile he nods till he notices her expression.]
Do... you want me to come back later?

do you wanna smooch a mermaaaaid~? ♪
He wasn't there every day, but Natsuru was. In the shadows of the rocks or hidden out in the waters, she observed the beach and watched for the pretty young man. At first, it was just curiosity about what a human might find interesting about the border of their worlds, but she soon found herself wanting to learn more about this boy. She risked moving closer each time, until... finally, one day, a nearby splash would catch Roxas' attention.
Natsuru had been using a rock as cover, but she'd slipped and fallen back into the water, unfortunately disorienting herself in the process. Her scantily clad top half pokes out past the water, fish tail flailing in the sea foam. Seeing Roxas' upside-down face looming above her, her own face turns a deep shade of crimson.]
Ah-?!
[This is not the first impression she would have wanted to make. Of course, it's been weeks, and she may not have hidden her presence as well as she thinks. Perhaps Roxas knew there was something out there, and he's only seeing her properly for the first time...]
H-... Hello?
[She shyly waves with a wiggle of her fingers. It's all she can do to keep from melting into an embarrassed puddle of awkward and slithering back out to sea.]
no subject
Mostly he'd been going when the weather was too cold to collect seashells. Finding just the right one could take all day baring that it didn't have an inhabitant inside. Those would get put back as soon as they were found. The beach also had something he could never shake...
He'd always had a feeling someone was watching him...
The loud splash had drawn him to the waters edge, kicking off his shoes as he headed into the surf to find not at all what he expected.]
H-H... Hi...
[Oh god his face feels so red and he's dying this is too much there's a mermaid a real mermaid in the water what will he do????]
no subject
It feels weird seeing him all upside-down like that, so she quickly moves to right herself, propping up a little on her elbows so she can still look up at his face. This is the closest she's ever seen him. She always thought he was pretty, but it's hard to even look at him now without blushing and feeling a flutter in her chest.]
I-I'm fine! I just slipped...
[She shifts her weight so she can tuck soaking wet locks of hair behind her ear. She's just... dodging the whole issue of him being human, as if she hopes that by acting normal this whole situation will become normal. But she's doing it, she's talking to the cute human boy. Help.]
no subject
He manages a deep breath, crouching down to be more at her level, to be polite.]
Y... You didn't get hurt, did you?
[How does one talk to a mermaid and how does he keep his eyes from wandering downwards. Eyes! Focus on her eyes!]
no subject
M-Maybe I scraped my tail a little on the rocks. But it's fine, really!
[She can't believe this is happening. She's meeting a human, a really cute human, and his first concern was that she might have hurt herself when she slipped. She knew Roxas was kind just from watching him, but knowing that is different than feeling that kindness directed towards her.
Before she knows it, she's blurting out a hasty introduction while glancing down at the beach.]
I'm Natsuru...
[She's looking away while she says it, but she shyly turns her eyes towards his again to see his response.]
no subject
He does still look a bit concerned, but nods.] If you're sure... I don't think I could help with that. I-I've.... never met a mermaid before.
[TOO
CUTE
STRIKE HIM DOWN NOW]
R-Roxas! That's my name. Roxas. It's nice to meet you, Natsuru.
[That may have sounded a little automatic. He's nervous. Forgive him?]
